Paper? Yes, it’s just paper… perfectly chosen hues of colored paper, cut with insane precision, and then layered on top of each other to create this beautifully dizzying work. In fact, I’ll bet if I look at these images, by Vancouver based artist Sarah Gee, long enough I may very well go into some kind of jealousy-induced trance… yep, here I go.
Just a note … my favourite dizzying target is on display now at Trench Gallery, 148 Alexander St, in Vancouver’s Gastown, as part of a retrospective of west coast modernism. See it for real! And thank you so much for featuring me on your amazing blog.
