i’m jealous of alex menocal
Hm, I don’t think I have ever shown work this way before… in context, inside someone’s home. I have to say, it really makes me want to have Chicago based artist Alex Menocal come over to install a few of his very bold, complex/yet simple, triangle configurations on my wall… pink & yellow for me, please!

I supported him when he used Kickstarter and I got sent two lovely hand drawn words, “Be” and “Device” so it was well worth it!
I just got one! Yesterday, Alex left behind a huge mural in orange and yellow in my Spartanburg, South Carolina dining room! Wahoooo!!

We’ve had ours for 18 months now (we were early, and well-happy, guinea pigs). Red and pink artists’ tape on our exposed concrete ceiling. It’s wicked!

Mine’s orange … but it’s the very first private install. Thick, orange, architectural tape on drywall. Has been up for 18 months and going strong. It’s like a pizza slice traffic jam.
