Ok, I&#8217;m pretty sure they&#8217;re not meant to look like sandwiches, but that&#8217;s what I see every time I look at these crazy layered mixed media pieces by Austin based artist <a href=\"http:\/\/xochisolis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Xochi Solis<\/a>. See that beauty\u00a0at the very top? That was the piece\u00a0Xochi made for my book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chroniclebooks.com\/titles\/collage.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Collage<\/em><\/a>&#8230; and then she sent it to me! I was beyond thrilled to see one of her originals\u00a0in person <em>{so many layers of goodness!}<\/em>, and it is now proudly displayed in my living room,\u00a0not far from the kitchen.
