She was my editor on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chroniclebooks.com\/titles\/creative-block.html\" target=\"_blank\">Creative Block<\/a>, and she&#8217;s working on my new book now <em>{and has talked me off a few creative ledges along the way!}<\/em>. She&#8217;s got <strong>four important ingredients<\/strong> that should go into every pitch, so grab a\u00a0pen because you&#8217;re going to want to take notes. Then of course there were her answers to the speed round&#8230; two of her favorite novels that she&#8217;s read this year: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/All-Light-We-Cannot-See\/dp\/1476746583\" target=\"_blank\">All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Purity-A-Novel-Jonathan-Franzen\/dp\/0374239215\" target=\"_blank\">Purity by Jonathan Franzen<\/a>. And clearly I had to include a link to this answer: The first slow song she ever danced to&#8230; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=s9CD4_3wChM\" target=\"_blank\">In Your Eyes<\/a>. <em>Sigh.<\/em> The light, the heat.<\/p>\n<p>So&#8230; if you have an idea that you want to pitch, Kate is\u00a0ready to hear it!
