This is the work of UK based artist\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.annacollettehunt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Anna Collette Hunt<\/a>, from a series titled <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.annacollettehunt.com\/#!newstead-oddities\/c12hx\" target=\"_blank\">Newstead Odditites<\/a><\/em>. Here is the behind-the-curtain statement about this work:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;The Newstead Oddities is a collection that features marble statues as \u2018characters\u2019, who are found on research adventures to museums and galleries. Anna\u2019s first characters came from Newstead Abbey in Nottinghamshire. She often visits Natural Trust Houses and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London especially to meet new characters and find\u00a0fresh faces. It might be particularly eccentric hair, or a mysterious sparkle in their eye that capture Anna\u2019s attention and imagination. The artist likes to playfully assign heads to different bodies. Marie Antoinette\u2019s clothing and body can often be spotted with a different head. What\u2019s odder still is that sometimes the heads have a striking resemblance to the artists\u2019 face- Anna likes to see if anyone will notice.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hilarious!
