I just checked back in,\u00a0and wow, she&#8217;s been busy!\u00a0These paintings are a few of her latest portraits.\u00a0Her work is so elegant\/precise and loose\/messy all at the same time\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0that&#8217;s one of the things I love most about her work\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0her\u00a0willingness to &#8220;scribble&#8221; over\u00a0something so beautifully painted.\u00a0Oh, and don&#8217;t even get me started on her color palettes and those\u00a0tiny little beads. <em>Love.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Update: Earlier this year, Andrea\u00a0quit her day job to give her artwork a true chance, so I&#8217;m just going to put this out there to all of you\u00a0gallery directors, collectors, everyone&#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.saatchiart.com\/account\/artworks\/739016\" target=\"_blank\">scoop her up now<\/a>, because I predict big things for\u00a0this artist.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I wrote about Spanish painter Andrea Castro almost exactly one year ago to the day.
