What?! Yeah. Today I&#8217;m talking to American artist <a href=\"http:\/\/shannonrankin.com\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\">Shannon Rankin<\/a>\u00a0all about maps, vellum, more maps, constantly pushing yourself, and pizza&#8230; in that order. Shannon&#8217;s currently at a residency in Roswell, New Mexico, so that&#8217;s where I called. So gorgeous.<\/p>\n<p>Next, we were talking about\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/justinrichel.com\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\">Justin Richel<\/a>&#8230; Shannon&#8217;s long time partner, and amazing artist. I&#8217;ve written about Justin before, and both he and Shannon are in my first book, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chroniclebooks.com\/titles\/creative-block.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Creative Block&#8221;<\/a>. Justin&#8217;s with Shannon in Roswell at the moment, experimenting with sculpture! This first piece is <a href=\"http:\/\/shannonrankin.com\/artwork\/1040211_Germinate_5000_Seeds.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Germinate\u00a0(5000 seeds)&#8221;<\/a>.
