I knew she&#8217;d just had a baby and thought it best to leave her alone for a little while! Well, her baby is now eight\u00a0months old, and I couldn&#8217;t wait any longer. Today I&#8217;m talking to California based artist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elisemorris.net\/\">Elise Morris<\/a>. Her ethereal, abstract botanicals make me stop and breathe. Deeply. I&#8217;ve always imagined Elise lying in the grass, under a sun-dappled tree with the California breeze dancing through the leaves&#8230; I guess we&#8217;re going to find out if that&#8217;s how she works. Or not!\u00a0You can listen right up there under those dreamy petals and leaves,\u00a0or you can\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/podcast\/jealous-curator-art-for-your\/id996338562\" target=\"_blank\">subscribe on iTunes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>First, her work on paper, because&#8230; well, just look at it! My favorite part? That there&#8217;s no overthinking&#8230; she &#8220;just goes&#8221;. Clearly.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe I almost forgot to bring this up!? I&#8217;ve just &#8220;hung&#8221; the second show at <a href=\"https:\/\/fancyschmancygallery.com\/\">my new &#8220;Fancy Schmancy&#8221; online gallery<\/a>. The show is titled <a href=\"https:\/\/fancyschmancygallery.com\/collections\/au-naturel\"><em>&#8220;Au Naturel&#8221;<\/em><\/a>, so obviously I asked Elise to create a brand new original piece specifically for this show, and thankfully she said yes! Look at those pencil lines, and my goodness, I had no idea acrylic paint could do that! It&#8217;s 22&#8243;h x 24&#8243;w\u00a0on paper, and\u00a0is titled <a href=\"https:\/\/fancyschmancygallery.com\/products\/calling-dawn-i\">&#8220;Calling Dawn I.&#8221;<\/a> There is only one, so <a href=\"https:\/\/fancyschmancygallery.com\/products\/calling-dawn-i\">go buy it right now!<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And finally, Elise is the mama of\u00a0two boys &#8211; eight\u00a0years old, and\u00a0eight months old.
