It was the body of work she mentioned\u00a0that began\u00a0with a coat of light pink gesso! For those of you in Toronto, this is the info for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayberryfineart.com\/exhibit\/518\">her solo show of this work opening at Mayberry Fine Art on May 6<\/a>. GO!<\/p>\n<p>Up next, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/meghanhildebrand.com\/#\/giants\/\">&#8220;Giants&#8221;<\/a><\/em>. This is my favorite series&#8230; Sasquatches staring back at the viewer, dreamy watercolor tree bark, tiny faces hiding in the trees, and oh, all of those patterns! Seriously, just so gorgeous:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2017\/04\/21\/m-is-for-mysterious\/meghanhildebrand4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28473\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28473\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/meghanhildebrand4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"5428\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Doesn&#8217;t that just make you want to make stuff? Beautiful.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of beautiful, Meghan lives in a lovely small town on Vancouver Island overlooking the Pacific Ocean. I&#8217;m kind of waiting for a bear or a Sasquatch to pop up into frame though.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, I&#8217;ve <em>always<\/em> thought Meghan&#8217;s work would be perfect for a mysterious, beautiful, fantastical kids&#8217; book&#8230; especially her whimsical watercolors.
