Well, no need to imagine because I&#8217;ve got her on the podcast!\u00a0<\/span>Yep, today I&#8217;m talking to Israeli artist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zemerpeled.com\/\">Zemer Peled<\/a>\u00a0&#8230; from the big island of Hawaii. She&#8217;s there working on a commission for a private collector, before she jets off to France for a residency in Limoges. <em>Sigh.<\/em> Alrighty, you can listen right up there underneath that beautiful spiky thing,\u00a0or\u00a0you can\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/podcast\/jealous-curator-art-for-your\/id996338562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">subscribe on iTunes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>First up, Zemer in action. Ok, next&#8230; these are Zemer&#8217;s flowers that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/18\/zemer-peled\/\">I wrote about a couple of\u00a0years ago<\/a>. GORGEOUS! The detail is astounding, and her patience is awe-inspiring. Well we&#8217;re not done yet&#8230; the evolution continued from there! So. Many. Shards.<\/p>\n<p>Next, her colors! She did start with blue and white as I mentioned above, but much like her colorful personality, Zemer&#8217;s\u00a0work is now filled with a rainbow of beautifully broken bits:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2017\/05\/05\/suitcase-full-of-shards\/zemerpeled5\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-28597\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-28597\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/zemerpeled5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"3227\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Ahhhh,<\/em> and yes, those are the flower photos she took while in Hawaii. I see many future pieces &amp; palettes that will be inspired by those beauties! <em>{ps. about half way through the images above you&#8217;ll see the floral piece she was working on in Hawaii&#8230; partly hidden behind some perfectly coordinated local flora.}<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Zemer&#8217;s\u00a0work is beautiful, but let&#8217;s not forget <strong>THE DANGER<\/strong>. I asked if she ever cuts herself.
