Almost all of Jenny&#8217;s work is an homage to her Granny, and the beautiful dedication continues! May I present\u00a0<i><b>Flat Granny and\u00a0Me:\u00a0A Procession in My Mind:<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Intertwining the historic\u00a0narrative surrounding the plight of my South Alabama farming community at the hands of the Mexican Boll Weevil with the memory-scape of my grandmother riding in the\u00a0annual Boll Weevil Parade as 1968 Woman of the Year;\u00a0past meets present, reality and memory\u00a0collide placing the viewer in a dream-like setting and state.\u00a0Part\u00a0cyclorama\/part moving image,\u00a0A Procession&#8230;\u00a0was created\u00a0in\u00a0an attempt to &#8220;reverse the camera&#8217;s crop&#8221; &#8211;\u00a0returning\u00a0space and time to the still image;\u00a0and\u00a0doing so, attempts to redefine\u00a0the\u00a0form and function of the photograph in our contemporary, image-saturated world.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/?attachment_id=30449\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-30449\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-30449\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/jennyfine2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"4518\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So beautiful. And that&#8217;s &#8220;Flat Granny&#8221; above &#8212; a\u00a0life-size photographic cutout of her grandmother\u00a0turned\u00a0costume.
