For real. So, how perfect is it that I have the lovely and talented\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/clareceleste.com\/\">Clare Celeste B\u00f6rsch<\/a>\u00a0on the podcast? Perfectly perfect! Clare is an American artist based in Berlin&#8230; who has also lived in Thailand, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, and that\u2019s just the first part of the story! I&#8217;ve loved her work for years, and assumed she was a full-time artist. Well, you know what they say about &#8220;assuming&#8221;&#8230; it makes an &#8220;ass&#8221; out of &#8220;u&#8221; and &#8220;me&#8221;. I feel like this episode is a piece of art history in the making because only two months ago, Clare finally made the jump to being an Artist with a capital A. Why? Because a tiger told her to. Listen right up there under that lady sleeping on a petal, or\u00a0you can\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/podcast\/jealous-curator-art-for-your\/id996338562\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">subscribe on iTunes<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Where to begin? With Clare&#8217;s tiger, obviously. The story about her tiger dream was magic, as is this collage.<\/p>\n<p>These are a few pieces that represent what Clare was doing for the last few years <em>{before the glass and installation pieces}<\/em>. So much attention to detail, so many perfectly cut bits of wonderfulness, and all done while her baby napped. I mean, COME ON.<\/p>\n<p>From gallery walls to <a href=\"http:\/\/nymag.com\/\">New York Magazine<\/a>! Yep, for somebody\u00a0<em>&#8220;doing this on the side&#8221;<\/em>, Clare has certainly had some very cool <a href=\"http:\/\/clareceleste.com\/commissioned-work\/\">commercial clients<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2018\/05\/11\/dreaming-of-tigers\/clareborsch4-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-31488\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-31488\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/clareborsch4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"4080\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/clareborsch4.jpg 584w, https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/clareborsch4-43x300.jpg 43w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Speaking as a person who buys wine for the labels <em>{don&#8217;t you dare judge me}<\/em>, I&#8217;d buy all of these!<\/p>\n<p>And now&#8230; Clare&#8217;s newest body of work. Oh I think she&#8217;s on her way to creating the 3D collage world that&#8217;s in her mind.
