Oh my goodness, one month from today I will be in Venice Italy, about to kick off the first day of the Contemporary Art Course at the European Cultural Centre!<\/a> There are a handful of spots left, so if you’ve been thinking about it {especially anyone in Europe who can just hop on a train to get there}<\/em><\/strong> now is your chance<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Last year I went during the Art Biennale, but I’m so excited to experience the Architecture Biennale this time. Are you assuming it’s just a bunch of models of buildings? That’s what I thought too, but that is not the case at all.<\/em>\u00a0Here’s proof from past years:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Stunning! And FYI that bottom most image will be our classroom {Palazzo Mora<\/a>}<\/em>. One of the instructors last year was architect, James\u00a0Taylor-Foster<\/a>\u00a0{co-curator of the 2017 Nordic Pavilion}<\/em> who explained what the Architecture Biennale<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0truly all about… and it took my breath away. Conceptual \/ Aspirational thoughts about our planet, the environment, design, community, and how people live together in this crazy world of ours. So much of this inspiration can be applied to the way you think about your artwork … also, we’ll be in Venice!<\/p>\n

Morning:<\/strong>\u00a0Design in Venice, curatorial point of view and case study (lecture).<\/p>\n

Afternoon:<\/strong>\u00a0Visit to Murano School of Glass, Abatte Scuola di Vetro.<\/p>\n

WEDNESDAY JUNE 13<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Morning:<\/strong>\u00a0Finding your way in creative industry (THIS IS MY CLASS!)<\/strong>
\nAfternoon:<\/strong>\u00a0Galleries. The changing business model. (lecture and visit to a gallery)<\/p>\n

THURSDAY JUNE 14<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Morning:<\/strong>\u00a0Exhibition planning: from idea to reality (lecture).
\nAfternoon:<\/strong>\u00a0Visit to Venice Design exhibition, private tour with curators.<\/p>\n

FRIDAY JUNE 15<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Morning:\u00a0<\/strong>Venice Biennale: history and organization (lecture).
\nAfternoon:<\/strong>\u00a0How to develop successful personal projects in art industry (workshop)\u00a0(ME AGAIN)<\/strong>
\nEvening:<\/strong>\u00a0Certificate ceremony and prosecco. Boat tour around Venice.<\/p>\n

SATURDAY JUNE 16<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Optional visit to the Biennale or pre-selected collateral events.<\/p>\n
