They recently invited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gucci.com\/ca\/en\/st\/stories\/article\/cruise-2019-diy-campaign-shoppable\">six artists to reimagine their DIY cardigans<\/a>&#8230; I found out about this because of the unstoppable <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashleylongshore.com\/\">Ashley Longshore<\/a> <em>{hers is the first image above}<\/em>. Ashley &amp; Gucci &#8230; um yeah, that&#8217;s a match made in fashion heaven. Anyway, I did a little more digging and found the whole campaign. Here is Gucci&#8217;s description:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/angeladeane.com\">Angela Deane<\/a>\u2019s friendly ghosts, named Sam and Wendall, wear the sweaters painted on top of winter scenes. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isabellacotier.com\/\">Isabella Cotier<\/a>\u2019s portrait style illustrations are based on the characters who live around her London neighborhood, and artist and illustrator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marcburckhardt.com\/\">Marc Burckhardt<\/a>\u2019s richly detailed creations feature a gorilla and a tiger, chosen by the artist because \u201cthe elegance and style of a tiger seemed like a perfect fit for Gucci, and the brute strength of the gorilla felt like an amusing counterpoint to the sophistication of the DIY line.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ambervittoria.com\/\">Amber Vittoria<\/a>\u2014an artist who focuses on the accurate portrayal of women within art\u2014imagines two female characters,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashleylongshore.com\/\">Ashley Longshore<\/a> paints a girl immersed in flowers and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.briandafitzjamesstuart.com\/en\/\">Brianda Fitz James Stuart<\/a>\u2019s whimsical illustrations, inspired by classic Renaissance paintings, feature a swan.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Love, love, loooooove!\u00a0<em>{ps. I also really love that 5 of the 6 artists are women}<\/em>.
