Yep, I love absolutely\u00a0everything<\/em> about this colorful, bizarre, craziness! This is the totally weird work of Portland based artist {and 2nd grade teacher!}<\/em>\u00a0Jessie Weitzel Le Grand<\/a>. The majority of the images above are from a 2019 series titled “Bloom Tomb”.\u00a0<\/em>Here is Jessie’s poetic description of this installation:<\/p>\n

A thought, like an ambient smell. <\/em>
\nIt wafts in like a fart.<\/em><\/p>\n

Hot trash. Musky shoes. It\u2019s meant to be ignored. But this time, maybe\u2014TURN NOW!<\/em><\/p>\n

Finally see the metal FLY.<\/em>
\nWhere would you go? A place like no other.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s either pitch black or a miracle.<\/em>
\nA town of no rules, no pain.<\/em><\/p>\n

You have arrived.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
