All five of these large-scale pieces are stunning, but <em>\u201cAs American As Apple Pie\u201d<\/em> <em>{with the woman wearing the Barbie t-shirt}<\/em> might be my favorite! Here\u2019s an excerpt from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hauserwirth.com\/hauser-wirth-exhibitions\/30731-amy-sherald-the-great-american-fact\">gallery\u2019s description<\/a> of the exhibition:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201c[Amy Sherald\u2019s] paintings celebrate the Black body at leisure, thereby revealing her subjects\u2019 whole humanity.
