California based artist, illustrator, business owner, mother <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carissapotter.com\/\">Carissa Potter Carlson<\/a> is on the podcast today! Now, you might know her as &#8220;People I&#8217;ve Loved&#8221;&#8230; she does have over HALF A MILLION followers on Instagram, so you could very well be one of them.<\/p>\n<p data-pm-context=\"[]\">Now, if you listen to this podcast regularly, you know I have a format&#8230; but today I was <em><strong>highjacked! <\/strong><\/em>That&#8217;s right, Carissa tried her hardest to interview me!? Yep, it gets tricky when you turn the mic on someone who\u2019s used to asking all of the questions. Anyway, this may not be the \u2018normal\u2019 AFYE, but it sure is a lovely, open, kinda raw talk between two artists who are \u201cbad at keeping secrets\u201d.\u00a0Listen right up there under that very frank mermaid, or subscribe on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/podcast\/jealous-curator-art-for-your\/id996338562\">Apple Podcasts<\/a>\u00a0and\/or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/show\/2ELjX4nIVWpI3XMNW139WN\">Spotify.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>First up, the graphic she posted <em>{yet another truth bomb} <\/em>when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/COQcE1apxXL\/\">I was on her show<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/28\/people-ive-loved\/carissapottercarlson2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-38393\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38393\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/carissapottercarlson2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"1313\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yep, WE ARE ARTISTS! Ah, that was fun&#8230; even though I made her cry and then I almost cried. But other than that, all good!<\/p>\n<p>Next, a few of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carissapotter.com\/experiments\">her art installations<\/a>. Paintings and text and objects, oh my:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/28\/people-ive-loved\/carissapottercarlson3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-38394\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/carissapottercarlson3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"3075\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So funny. So smart. So bluntly insightful. Also, I could not love <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peopleiveloved.com\/collections\/paintings-originals\/PAINTINGS-&amp;-ORIGINALS\">those birds<\/a> more.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ooh,<\/em> and I have to show you Carissa&#8217;s work inside this VERY yellow ball pit at the <a href=\"https:\/\/colorfactory.co\/\">Color Factory<\/a> in San Francisco:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/2021\/05\/28\/people-ive-loved\/carissapottercarlson4\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-38395\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-38395\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thejealouscurator.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/carissapottercarlson4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"2763\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I want to go to there. I think &#8216;Celine Dijon&#8217; is my favorite&#8230; or maybe imagining that I&#8217;m swimming in a big bowl of lemons.
