Meticulous barely scratches the surface when describing David\u2019s work. I\u2019d also call the pieces vivacious and invigorating\u00a0with their spirited color palettes and grand scale. But what I find most inspiring is, right when the smile breaks and eyes\u00a0light up, it\u2019s the crazy detail that really blows my mind.<\/em><\/p>\n

I love it when a piece of art draws you in and the longer you look, the more you sense the time and patience that went in\u00a0to creating it. I can\u2019t help but get caught up in imagining the passion and persistence it took to create his pieces. I\u2019m a\u00a0sucker for precision, and I\u2019m jealous of David\u2019s.<\/em><\/p>\n

I first fell for his art a few years ago after seeing his colorful ink and watercolor explosions and mesmerizing mazes.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n<\/em><\/p>\n

Upon discovering his newest work, I fell all over again. For his latest, the\u00a0Human Entropy Project<\/a>, he\u2019s switched to\u00a0photography and assembled massive collages of chaotic swarms of people. No seriously, those are people.<\/em><\/p>\n

Beginning with himself, and eventually photographing everyone he knew in various positions in front of a\u00a0green screen<\/a>,\u00a0David collected thousands of images. After painstakingly manipulating and arranging each figure by hand, the completed\u00a0prints are these incredible five-foot wonders to look at.<\/em><\/p>\n

The remarkable thing to me is that amid the frenetic swarm of people, these pieces feel happy. I think there\u2019s a lesson in\u00a0there somewhere internauts.<\/em><\/p>\n
