I really can’t get enough of this lately… there is something about a modern take on floral still life that just calls my name! This is the work of Scottish born, New York based artist/illustrator KT (aka Katy) Smail, and she is the featured artist on Buy Some Damn Art this week. As someone who is addicted to surface pattern designs (and um oh yes, florals), when I saw the first image I thought “Wouldn’t these be great if they were adapted to patterns…?”) and lo and behold….
Kate Singleton of Buy Some Damn art is one of my absolute favorite clients to work with. I work at a custom frame shop in Cobble Hill and we have such great discussions on the best way to frame the pieces in her private collection. She is just adorable
