elsa mora

I have loved the work of California based artist Elsa Mora for ages {and she writes an amazing art blog where I often find the most fabulous ceramics}. I’ve written about Elsa’s ceramics before, but just found this gorgeous Frida Kahlo painted paper doll in her unbelievable portfolio of amazingness! So narrative, so beautiful, and really really FUN! I think Frida would have loved this too… it might have even made her want to dance:

You can buy the paper doll here, and a print of this piece here. Happy weekend to you!

Thanks a lot, Danielle! I’m so glad that you liked my Frida K. Sending a big hug and Happy belated birthday! (Mine was on the 9th and today is my daughter’s. What a fun month!)

Thanks so much, love your blog! And, I just set up a studio on Great.ly, which I discovered through the Jealous Curator (I’m a recent fan)!

Love love this. I have a friend Suzy Hall who is playing with paper doll concepts with her art. Delightful.
